New Zealand's Premier Ski Area. Coronet Peak's open slopes and wide rolling terrain is only a short drive from Queenstown. Whatever your style or speed, there's always something to suit and amazing views that will stop you in your tracks.

It's the original, and still leads the way in innovation and quality. Coronet Peak has everything from easy beginner slopes to rolling off-piste runs to long groomed trails.

Coronet Peak features two FIS Spec halfpipes with snowmaking, pipe shaper and a terrain park with jumps, tabletops and banks where you can work on your technique and style.

When your legs are ready to give out, kick back in the West End or Rocky Gully Cafés, or relax over a meal at The Coronet Brasserie -- one of Queenstown's best restaurants.

Terrain Park

Coronet Peak is a natural snowboard fun park a freestyle dream. You can ride the wide trails or turn your legs to jelly exploring the unlimited variety of hit lines across the field. Coronet features two FIS halfpipes, a purpose built pipe shaper and a terrain park.

Night Skiing

During the height of the Season (mid July- mid September), Coronet Peak is open for Night Skiing on Friday and Saturday nights until 9:00pm. A large area of terrain is lit for night skiing and most base facilities remain open. It's an experience to continue skiing as the sun descends and the lights come on.

Snowmaking

Coronet are the industry leaders in snowmaking. The fan forced system employed over most of the piste area of the mountain produces light, dry and fine snow which is extremely durable and allows Coronet Peak to operate during even the worst years.

Grooming

With a fleet of groomers, including a 'winch cat' for the steeper slopes, the piste runs are prepared every night for the next big day out. Groomer drivers have many years experience on Coronet Peak and consistently produce results that are the envy of other ski areas.

Ski & Snowboarding Racing

Each year coronet Peak is host to some of the best skiers in the world. Various World Cup Teams use Coronet Peak as an off-season training ground par-excellence. Many FIS races are held here every season.

Base Facilities

The Base Building At Coronet Peak provides everything you could ever want. A large day room, storage, rental, a café, Coronet Brasserie, large open decking with plenty of tables, an outstanding aspect on the field, Ski School, Kids Crèche, Skiwiland, guest services, administration, First Aid/Medical centre (with doctor on duty) and lockers which can be rented by the season.
