Beginner, intermediate or expert - whatever your level of skiing or riding, at Treble Cone you'll find the perfect run for you. Treble Cone is a well rounded mountain, the third steepest in New Zealand, yet offers a heap of terrain for learners and intermediates.

Treble Cone is the largest ski and snowboard area in the South Island with 550 hectares, Treble Cone is spread over three large basins and offers an incredible variety of terrain to suit all skills and ages.

We'll take you further

The purpose-built beginners area provides an ideal slope for learning. Located near the base building, the wide, gentle slope has an easy gradient and is perfectly groomed every night. The easy to ride platter lift lets you off as far up the slope as you feel comfortable with.

Improve fast on the Supertrails

The two supertrails 'Triple Treat' and 'Main Street' provide you with long, well-groomed slopes. Master these, then take your pick of over 10 kilometres of groomed trails. Most of these trails are accessed by our high-speed chairlift, the 'Moro Express 6', giving you more runs in a day.

Into the Black

Treble Cone has the best vertical skiing in the Southern Lakes area. The vertical drop of 660 metres is nearly double that of nearby resorts. Treble Cone can offer you more advanced terrain than any other New Zealand ski and snowboard area and the off-piste powder skiing is unrivalled.

Snowboarders Welcome

Treble Cone was the first mountain in New Zealand to offer snowboard instruction, way back in 1986. Add the first to hold a half-pipe comp in our natural pipes, before man-made pipes were even thought of.

Our attitude is still the same. The terrains's even better. Still, simply the best freeriding mountain in New Zealand. Just pure free riding on some of the most insane terrain mother nature can throw your way. And on a powder day? It's sick!

Ski & & Snowboard School

The ski School has a reputation for excellence and we can help you achieve new levels of confidence and control whether you're a beginner or an expert. Treble Cone runs several specific skiing and boarding camps each year, from half a day through to a full-on five day camp; Womens Workshops, Improvements Camps, Snowboard Holiday Camps, Carving Clinics and Masters.

Treble Cone specialises in taking care of and educating small children. Treble Cone Cat Club is custom designed for this purpose - allowing parents the freedom to go out and ski.
